Welcome to The Community Artists' Guild, Inc

The Community Artists’ Guild (CAG) is dedicated to Diversity and to the proposition that true art is empowering and by its very nature cannot be exclusionary.

CAG, through training, networking and the opportunity to develop art consistent with the realities of contemporary America, welcomes all members of the diverse and dynamic communities of Southern California to find and develop their creative self at an institution based on inclusion.

We provide comprehensive artistic and technical vocational training in the industry trades of film, television, and recording to industry professionals and at-risk youth.

CAG is funded in part by a Capacity Building Grant from Workplace Hollywood, Inc.

2008 is our 25th anniversary of providing services to you. Please join us in our celebration!!!! We are now embarking on implementing our strategic plan to open an accredited Film/TV and Recording Production Training Facility in the City of Los Angeles to service our residents.

Workplace Hollywood, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to training and placing a qualified and diverse workforce in the Entertainment Industry, recently gave CAG a Capacity Building Grant to increase awareness about our programs, create a youth program training manual with all curriculums aligned with the CA. State Visual and Performing Arts Standards (VAPA) and CA. State Educational Standards in English, Drama, Creative Writing, and Speech. We have also created a new website and will produce a promotional video DVD and marketing plan.

The University of Southern California’s Los Angeles Community Impact Program (LACI) has given CAG a Consultancy Grant to help develop our marketing plan, website, and promotional video DVD, to increase awareness of our organization and programs to Public Schools. LACI seeks to assist Not-For-Profit Organizations and small businesses in the los Angeles area with their business related challenges, by partnering them with groups of USC Business Majors as consultants.
